In all of our investments we are a lead investor, a board member, and an active partner with management. We add value to our companies by offering perspective on market strategy and business planning; identifying, analyzing, negotiating, and financing acquisitions; assisting with debt and equity financings, and helping to recruit additional executive management and independent board members when requested. We have a deep network of relationships in the industries in which we have invested, and we have been able to introduce our portfolio companies to potential customers, strategic partners, and acquisition targets as well as to provide ongoing market intelligence. In the last 5 years alone we have played an active role in helping our portfolio companies raise over $20 billion to finance their growth and acquisition strategies.

Our style is to maintain an active dialogue with our portfolio company CEOs and a small number of other senior managers, attend regular board meetings, and involve ourselves heavily only in particular initiatives where we can be helpful. We do not involve ourselves in day to day operations
