The company delivers a range of administrative, clinical and financial tools via real-time, batch and integrated technology to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the revenue cycle process. Specific services include insurance eligibility and benefit verification services, medical necessity validation, pre-certification database services, electronic claims status, and claims management services. Spectrum and its co-investors led a recapitalization which provided liquidity to Passport's long-term venture and angel investors.

CEO Biography

Scott MacKenzie became Passport’s Chief Executive Officer in April 2009. He is responsible for overseeing operations and directing the executive management team as Passport executes on its strategic objectives for ongoing growth. Prior to joining Passport, Mr. MacKenzie was President of RelayHealth Pharmacy Solutions, part of McKesson, where he was responsible for the business unit’s turnaround resulting in rapid and dramatic gains in revenue growth and profitability. Before that he spent six years in various executive capacities with Cerner, most recently as Vice President and General Manager – Providing Care responsible for physician, nurse, pharmacist and consumer solutions. He has also held unit CFO and other posts with AT&T, General Electric and EDS. Throughout his approximately 25-year career in information technology, Mr. MacKenzie has generated notable achievements in new business development and organic growth initiatives as well as merger/acquisition activity, business partnerships, generating transaction-based revenue and overseeing successful new product launches. Mr. MacKenzie holds dual bachelor’s degrees in finance and economics from Utah State University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
