Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, Inc. is one of the largest privately-held general insurance agencies and program specialists in the country. Arrowhead provides outsourced product development, marketing, underwriting and administrative services to national insurance carriers. As a general agent and program specialist, the company is authorized by insurance carriers to transact business on their behalf and has the authority to issue policies, bind the insurance carrier and provide administrative support, but does not assume any underwriting risk. Arrowhead distributes its products through a network of over 7,000 brokers across the country and does not sell directly to insureds. Spectrum led a recapitalization of AGIA providing liquidity to non-management shareholders and partial liquidity to Arrowhead's senior team, who continue to run the business post closing of the transaction.

CEO Biography

Chris Walker, Chief Executive Officer, joined Arrowhead in 2003. He has been involved with the company's business development strategies, product expansion, acquisitions and the company's overall operations and infrastructure. Prior to joining Arrowhead, Walker was a vice chairman of AON Re. His insurance career began with the reinsurance intermediary E.W. Blanch Co., ultimately serving as chairman and CEO of E.W. Blanch Holdings, which traded publicly on the NYSE. Walker is also past chairman of the Brokers and Reinsurance Markets Association and currently serves on the Arrowhead Board of Directors.
