AMC Entertainment Inc. is one of the world's largest film exhibition companies, with interests in 377 theaters and 5,300 screens located worldwide. The majority of the company's theaters are located in major metropolitan markets such as New York, Chicago, Mexico City, and Madrid and the company has the number one or two market share in 22 of the top 25 US designated market areas. Spectrum co-led the acquisition of Loews Cineplex Entertainment in a leveraged buyout transaction, and in January 2006, Loews merged with AMC Entertainment.

CEO Biography

Peter C. Brown has been Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of AMC Entertainment since July 1999 and President since January 1997. Mr. Brown serves as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of American Multi-Cinema Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of AMC Entertainment Inc. He is also the Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Movietickets.com. Mr. Brown served as Executive Vice President of AMC Entertainment Inc., from August 1994 to January 1997 and served as AMC's Chief Financial Officer since November 1991. He began his career with AMC in 1990. Mr. Brown founded and served as Chairman of the Board of Entertainment Properties Trust, a New York Stock Exchange-traded real estate investment trust, from 1997 to 2003. He has been a Director of Midway Games Inc., Embarq Corp. and Protection One Inc., prior to its reverse acquisiton with Western Resources Security Business. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors for the University of Kansas Business School. He serves on the National Association of Theatre Owners Board of Directors, where he also is a member of the executive committee, and the Board of Directors for National CineMedia. Mr. Brown is a graduate of the University of Kansas.
