Classic Media, Inc. is one of the largest independent family entertainment companies in the world with such characters as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Casper and Rocky & Bullwinkle. Classic licenses its characters and produces animated product based on its characters for home video markets, television networks, syndicators, cable networks and merchandisers. Spectrum, in conjunction with the existing management team, led a recapitalization of Classic, contributing equity and raising senior debt to fund liquidity for selling shareholders and support the company's future product development and syndication activities. Spectrum worked with the management team to evaluate new business lines for the company's library of copyrights and designed the combination with Entertainment Rights, plc. (LSE:ERT.L) to create a global leader in family entertainment content. Entertainment Rights acquired Classic Media in January 2007.
