Spectrum led a recapitalization of the company, providing full liquidity to institutional shareholders and partial liquidity to the management team. Over the past several years, Spectrum has supported the company's rapid organic growth, as its software-as-a-service delivery model now processes over 5 million unique positions per day. In January 2007, the company added qualitative risk capabilities with the acquistion of Institutional Shareholders Services ("ISS") for $525 million, and subsequently acquired CFRA Holdings, a leading provider of forensic accounting research and advice. CEO Biography

Ethan Berman has been Chief Executive Officer at RiskMetrics Group, Inc. since 1998. Before spinning off RiskMetrics Group in September of 1998 from JPMorgan, Mr. Berman worked as a Managing Director and was responsible for the firm's Risk Management Services Group. As head of that group, he was in charge of JPMorgan's risk advisory work, including developing risk products such as RiskMetrics and CreditMetrics. Mr. Berman joined JPMorgan in 1987 as a bond trader and worked in New York, Tokyo and Paris. He eventually managed the Mortgage-Backed Securities business, the North American taxable salesforce, and the government option and zero-coupon trading desk. In 1997 Mr. Berman was named one of the new rising stars of global finance by Business Week.
