QTC Management, Inc. is the largest provider of outsourced
disability evaluations in the United States. Through its nationwide
network of contract providers and proprietary workflow software and
technology, QTC manages every aspect of the disability evaluation
process, from the point of initial appointment setting and exam
preparation, to report preparation and generation, to final billing
and payment. QTC has developed proprietary software and protocols
enabling electronic integration of patient records with its
customer base of large federal, state and local government
agencies. Spectrum led a leveraged recapitalization of QTC in
November 2005, providing liquidity to the Company's co-founders and
simultaneously recruiting a former Secretary of Veterans Affairs to
the management team as the Company enters its next stage of growth.
QTC was acquired by Lockheed Martin in September 2011.
CEO Biography:
Marjie Shahani, M.D.,is widely recognized as one of the nation's
thought leaders in efficiently implementing federal disability
programs. She is also an expert in delivering world-class customer
service, as evidenced by the glowing client and examinee reviews
she constantly receives. During her more than 17 years at QTC, Dr.
Shahani has developed innovative team organization and training
programs that enable QTC to meet clients' exacting quality
standards and high performance expectations. She has managed
several public sector businesses at QTC, adding efficiency to
large-scale, multi-state operations. She also has spearheaded QTC's
private sector business, providing disability evaluation services
to the workers' compensation and long- and short-term disability
industries. Dr. Shahani holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Zoology and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the
East in the Philippines.
