Nassau Broadcasting Partners, L.P. is a radio broadcasting company that owns and/or operates 53 stations, 38 FM and 15 AM stations, located in Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Vermont and their signals cover approximately 8.1 million people. The company is focused on building contiguous clusters of local radio stations in demographically attractive suburban areas in the northeastern United States. Spectrum led a recapitalization of the company and invested additional equity capital to support the company's acquisition strategy.
Louis Mercatanti, Jr. has been Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nassau Broadcasting Corp. since May 2000. In 1986 Mr. Marcatarti bought two radio stations in central New Jersey and has, through his continued dedication to the local communities that Nassau serves, grown Nassau into a widely known and respected regional broadcaster. Under Mr. Mercatanti's leadership, in 2004 Nassau expanded significantly to become one of the largest radio broadcasters in New England.
