ITA Software, Inc. is a rapidly growing provider of software and information processing services to the online travel vertical. The company's primary product ("QPX") is a real-time processing engine with proprietary software capable of searching billions of flight, airline, and pricing combinations, producing more comprehensive results for a wider range of travel queries. QPX powers online shopping for airlines' captive websites, internet travel agencies, and meta-search platforms. Spectrum co-led a growth financing with a group of investors providing ITA with equity capital to strengthen its balance sheet and provide minority liquidity to management and employees, many of whom had been with the company since inception.

CEO Biography

Dr. Jeremy Wertheimer is Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of ITA Software. Dr. Wertheimer has been developing ITA Software's technical platform and business relationships since 1992. Airline companies implement ITA software, based on a set of Wertheimer's algorithms, that crunches numbers in a more timely, flexible, and economical way. Most recently, Dr. Wertheimer received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2007 Award in the vertical market software category for the New England region. He has a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and an S.M. in Computer Science from MIT, and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
