Houston, TX (June 14, 2005) – NextiraOne, LLC, a Platinum Equity Company, and United Asset Coverage (UAC) announced today that they have signed a multi-year agreement to jointly service voice maintenance enterprise customers in North America. Under the terms of the agreement, UAC has acquired a portion of NextiraOne's standard voice maintenance business. Simultaneously, UAC has entered into a multi-year agreement to utilize NextiraOne's field technicians and Technical Assistance Centers (TAC), to service its entire customer base across North America.
UAC will gradually assume day-to-day management responsibility for the acquired portion of the voice maintenance contracts during a transition period expected to end in mid-September. The responsibilities include alarm monitoring, call receipt, dispatch and billing functions as well as select Moves/Adds/Changes (MAC) services. The on-site troubleshooting, repair, manufacturer escalation and the majority of MAC services will be handled by the same NextiraOne technicians that perform the service today ensuring clients receive the high level of service to which they have become accustomed.
"UAC has developed and evolved a unique model to supply standard break/fix maintenance services across multiple technology platforms in a more cost-effective manner than we could offer alone," said NextiraOne CEO Dale Booth. "The UAC relationship allows us to concentrate more on helping our clients apply technology to directly improve their business."
The emergence of converged technologies, escalating cost pressures and legacy multi-vendor infrastructures are critical factors impacting enterprise clients. To help clients address those critical factors, NextiraOne has fine-tuned its service strategy to focus more on complex communications issues. The recent introduction of its formalized professional and managed services practice, and information security services in particular, were developed to help clients secure their communication networks, optimize their contact centers and effectively migrate current infrastructures to converged technologies. NextiraOne professionals will continue to address these needs by providing the existing and transitioning clients with the advanced technology solutions and services of leading manufacturers.
"This agreement allows our clients to benefit from our sharper focus on value-added services to help them plan for and implement advanced communication strategies. At the same time, they will benefit from a unique and extremely cost-effective business model for standard break/fix maintenance," adds Booth.
