Zignal Labs and SurveyMonkey have formed a partnership to aid customers to form deeper insights and make better-informed decisions.
The partnership is debuting with the integration of SurveyMonkey’s Election Tracking feature with Zignal’s dashboard. In the future, Zignal, a real-time analytics company, will integrate additional SurveyMonkey features into its platform, said Randy Brasche, head of marketing at Zignal.
"I’m a former corporate comms guy and it’s great to see media intelligence and primary research all in one place, [and be able] to get that information like a focus group at the push of a button," Brasche told PRWeek. "We’ve specialized in real-time media data for more than five years and looking at the primary research of SurveyMonkey, it made sense to combine that in once place."
SurveyMonkey reps were not immediately available for comment.
Customers will be able to cross-reference the real-time analytics gleaned through Zignal with long-term data provided by SurveyMonkey, unearthing underlying issues and trends, Brasche explained. The partnership consolidates the two companies’ research capabilities and accelerates the process.
Zignal’s enterprise customers include IBM and Airbnb, while agency customers include Brunswick Group and FleishmanHillard.
Zignal raised $15 million during a funding round that closed in October 2015. The company raised $10.7 million in funding the year prior, according to statements released by the company.
Both rounds of funding were led by the same existing investors: Andy Ballard of Figtree Partners; Mitch Cohen of Ross Investment Associates; and Jim Hornthal, cofounder and chairman of Zignal Labs.
The 2015 funds were used to expand Zignal’s sales, product, and engineering operations, while the 2014 funds were more or less used for the same purpose: to grow its leadership, sales, and engineering teams, according to Zignal statements.
SurveyMonkey’s board has well-known tech figures, including Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman. In January, SurveyMonkey named former GoPro entertainment chief Zander Lurie its second chief executive in six months. He replaced Bill Veghte in the top role. Former SurveyMonkey CEO David Goldberg, the husband of Sandberg, died suddenly last May.
