WeddingWire Recognized for Workplace Equality

WeddingWire, the global industry leader for online wedding planning, proudly announces that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2017 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. For the second year in a row, WeddingWire was included amongst the top ranks of the 1,043 businesses rated in the report.

“At WeddingWire, diversity is celebrated as a key component of our company culture,” said Timothy Chi, co-founder and CEO of WeddingWire. “It means a lot that our efforts to create an inclusive environment are recognized by an organization as inspiring as the HRC and we will continue to learn, grow, and listen in order to provide our amazing employees with a high-quality experience driven by innovation, creativity, and openness.”

The 2017 CEI report evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Through WeddingWire’s practices and policies, including the efforts of its Diversity and Inclusion Committee to model inclusive behaviors, and improve and encourage the hiring and retaining of a more diverse workforce, the company satisfied all of the CEI’s criteria to receive a 100 percent ranking and is again labeled as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
