HealthMEDX Rated #1 in Post-Acute Care EMR Report by KLAS

Ozark, MO. - The "KLAS Post-Acute Care Perception 2013: High Hopes and Big Plans" report has rated HealthMEDX as the top performer in the Long Term Care EMR vendor category. This report highlights the growing need for technology investment in Post-Acute Care to support Accountable Care Organizations, avoidable admissions, and care transitions.

The report calls out the challenges associated with trying to use a traditional enterprise EMR to support the Post-Acute Care environment. The Long Term Post Acute Care Market (LTPAC) is heavily regulated with complex billing and documentation requirements. The report states, "Beyond homecare, most enterprise vendors do not offer rehabilitation- or LTC-specific solutions."

In addition, Post-Acute Care providers are becoming very important strategic partners of hospitals and medical homes working collaboratively to manage care transitions, avoidable admissions, and clinical outcomes. The greatest challenge for providers is the lack of systems that can interoperate with hospitals, physicians, pharmacies, and labs.

"By combining the ability to exchange data, including the Continuity of Care Document (CCD), with our iCare physician mobility tools for the iPad and iPhone, HealthMEDX has established a unique technology platform to support the care continuum," said Gerry McCarthy, Vice President of HealthMEDX. "HealthMEDX made a significant investment in the Vision product to achieve ONC-ATCB Modular and CCHIT LTPAC Certification and we are committed to supporting the ONC standards and the evolving needs of the Post-Acute Care provider community and their referral partners."

HealthMEDX is the only vendor that provides an integrated, person-centric system that includes a full electronic medical record and comprehensive billing system with integrated CRM. The product, known as Vision, supports the entire Post-Acute Care continuum including: Long Term Care (Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Independent Living), Rehab, Homecare, and Hospice. The SaaS based architecture includes the HealthMEDX Exchange interoperability platform allowing post acute providers to connect with hospitals, physicians and payers to address readmission management and facilitate care coordination across the care continuum.

"We are honored to be recognized by and KLAS as the #1 Long Term Care solution," stated Pam Pure, CEO of HealthMEDX. "More importantly, I am most proud of the data within the report showing that 100% of our customers stated that HealthMEDX keeps promises; is part of long-term plans; and would buy HealthMEDX again."

HealthMEDX also ranked highest amongst the competition in the following categories: Product Quality, Lives up to Expectations, Recommend to a Peer/Friend, and Overall Satisfaction.
