Lucid Software, a leading provider of cloud-based visual productivity applications, today announced that Ben Dilts, co-founder and chief technology officer, is a Utah Business CXO of the Year award winner. The award recognizes Dilts for his visionary leadership and successful innovation.
"Ben is not only a brilliant individual but a tremendous leader," said Karl Sun, chief executive officer of Lucid Software. "He is the backbone of Lucid's innovative technology. Ben brings an infectious energy and creativity to the entire company. His ingenuity is a major reason why Lucid Software has been so successful in such a relatively short time."
Dilts and Sun co-founded Lucid Software while Dilts was still in his 20s, growing it to now more than 150 employees. With two of the most downloaded apps in the Google Apps Marketplace, Lucid Software has enjoyed over 100 percent growth in revenue each year since its founding in 2010. Lucidchart, a diagramming application, and Lucidpress, a design and layout solution, are utilized by more than 7 million users in over 175 countries.
Both Lucidchart and Lucidpress run in the cloud, allowing for real-time collaboration on any operating system, and both offer integrations with major players like Google, Microsoft and Atlassian. Lucid Software products are used by over 80 percent of Fortune 500 companies.
"I'm honored to receive this recognition," said Dilts. "The credit for Lucid's success goes to our entire team of talented and hardworking employees. We've only scratched the surface of what we're capable of, and I'm very excited to see what we do next."
This year's CXO of the Year winners represent trailblazers across technology, finance, marketing and operations who exemplify teamwork, leadership and expertise and who are propelling their organizations forward. Dilts was honored at an awards ceremony on June 30 at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City and is featured in Utah Business Magazine's June 2016 edition.
