RainKing Named to Inc. 5000 List for Third Consecutive Year

RainKing, a leading global provider of IT sales intelligence information, announced today it has been named by Inc. magazine to the 34th annual Inc. 5000 List of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. This is the third consecutive year and the fourth time in the past five years that RainKing has earned a place on Inc. magazine’s exclusive ranking.

RainKing has experienced 123% growth over the past three years while rapidly expanding its global coverage of companies and the stakeholders within them who influence IT investments. Its database is expected to exceed 1 million decision makers and influencers by the end of 2016. To support this rapid growth, RainKing is on track to fill over 60 new job positions this year in its Bethesda headquarters.

RainKing received a large private equity investment last year from Spectrum Equity, which has enabled the Company to further build out its research infrastructure and strengthen its competitive advantage. Beyond names and contact information, RainKing’s multi-faceted research methodology continually surfaces timely, actionable insight about a company’s technologies in use, existing pain points, upcoming spending initiatives, contract renewals and more. RainKing publishes thousands of “investment signals” each day that alert salespeople to potential sales opportunities on the horizon.

“We are honored to be recognized by Inc. Magazine for the strong growth we have achieved,” stated RainKing CEO John Stanfill. “What sets RainKing apart from its competitors is our level of commitment to each of our customers, regardless of size or investment,” Stanfill commented. “We operate as an extension of our customers’ sales teams, going above and beyond to ensure they are seeing results. That’s why our customers renew with us year after year.”

According to Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg, the 2016 Inc. 5000 is the most competitive crop in the list’s history.

“The story of this year’s Inc. 5000 is the story of great leadership,” Schurenberg commented. “In an incredibly competitive business landscape, it takes something extraordinary to take your company to the top.”
