Lucid Receives Two Microsoft Office App Awards

Lucid Software, a leading provider of cloud-based visual productivity applications, received two Office App Awards at the annual Microsoft Ignite conference. Lucidchart Diagrams for PowerPoint Add-in won the “People’s Choice Award” and the second place award for “Most Business Value for an Office Add-in.”

Office App Awards is an annual contest for add-ins and apps available in the Office store and other marketplaces. This year saw hundreds of nominations and several months of rigorous judging before Microsoft announced over 28 awards across ten separate categories at the conference in Atlanta last week.

Lucidchart provides a collaborative solution for complex diagramming that increases visual communication. Previously, Lucidchart users exported files as static images and copied them into Microsoft Office documents. With the Lucidchart for PowerPoint add-in, users can embed Lucidchart files directly into PowerPoint projects, allowing them to enhance presentations with diagrams such as interactive flowcharts, wireframes, and mockups.

“We are extremely honored to be the recipient of these awards, especially the ‘People’s Choice Award.’ We saw tens of thousands of votes from our users—we are incredibly grateful for this overwhelming show of support,” said Karl Sun, CEO of Lucid Software.
Lucid Software also offers add-ins for Microsoft Word and Excel. Users can insert visual elements into Word and Excel documents, greatly enhancing text-heavy files like reports, technical documentation, and user manuals. Lucidchart is one of only a few third-party Office integrations that works across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Microsoft OneDrive.
