Spectrum Equity Opens a London Office

Spectrum London

We are delighted to announce the opening of Spectrum’s London office. Longstanding team member and Managing Director Parag Khandelwal leads the new office and is joined by Cameron Ghorbani and Joey Haig.

Spectrum has built a successful track record over the last two decades investing in European software and data services companies, beginning with Fund II in 1997. Most recently, we partnered with London-based Benchmark Mineral, a provider of intelligence for the lithium ion battery supply chain, as the company’s first institutional investor to help accelerate its data coverage of key energy transition technologies. Earlier this year, we exited Quantile, a provider of portfolio risk optimization software, to the London Stock Exchange. Other recent and active European portfolio companies include: Digital Marketing Institute, Lighthouse (fka OTA Insight), Jimdo and Netcraft.

We have long believed in the burgeoning entrepreneurial ecosystem developing across Europe, having invested over $1 billion over the last 20 years. We have been fortunate to build strong relationships with founders and entrepreneurs, help them achieve their growth potential, and exit to strategic companies such as Experian, Fitch Ratings, Thomson Reuters, and others.

As Spectrum has done consistently for many years, the firm is committed to continuing its established investment strategy focused on software and data services. Our local presence in Europe will allow us to build stronger relationships in the community and enable us to be better partners with our portfolio companies.

We look forward to staying connected with you!
