Under Spectrum’s stewardship, SurveyMonkey has evolved from a 12 employee company providing survey tools in a single language, to a global company with over 700 employees across seven offices and three continents.

Spectrum partnered with the founders to help recruit a CEO and senior management to scale the operations of the company to support its rapid growth. Spectrum has been instrumental in all aspects of the company’s growth and strategic initiatives. SurveyMonkey now has over 60 million registered users and works with 98% of the Fortune 100 companies. In addition, over 17,000 applications have utilized SurveyMonkey's API as part of their customer's systems of record.

Team Building

Starting with recruiting Dave Goldberg as the CEO, Spectrum helped build a management team including President, COO & CFO along with Zander Lurie as an independent board member, who later became CEO, and a deep executive team around them.

M&A

Spectrum helped identify and support acquisitions including Wufoo and Zoomerang to complement the company’s core survey product.

Globalization

Management developed 16 foreign language versions of the product as well as the ability to accept 29 local currencies with multiple local payment options.

Customer Growth

Survey Monkey has quadrupled paid subscribers to over 500,000.

Product Launches

The company launched SurveyMonkey Audience, Enterprise, and Benchmarking products, extended into multi-user enterprise accounts, market research and data services.
